About Mark Pellicane

Mark is the President & CEO of Cannabco Pharmaceutical Corporation. As the company’s founder, Mark has been responsible for guiding Cannabco’s strategic direction. With a single minded vision of success and innovation, Mark has created tremendous shareholder value through the implementation of initiatives exclusive to Cannabco and unique to the cannabis industry. Mark is also hands on when it comes to growing cannabis and is considered one of the foremost indoor hydroponics experts in the cannabis space having developed enhanced cultivation, and processing technologies used exclusively by CannabCo. Along with his corporate responsibilities, and leadership role, Mark works tirelessly with the Executive Management team and key cannabis R&D engineers developing and enhancing Cannabco’s value proposition with industry disruptive technology such as Odourless Cannabis, PURESCENT, and PHOENIX.

Mark’s success began at the age of 15 when he was accepted into University of Toronto for Biology and Physics. After paying his way through school by building custom computers in his dorm room, he was appointed President and CEO of Software Solutions where he spearheaded an operation of software development and distribution to 23 countries globally.

He then pursued an MBA degree from Hamilton College in Oxford before establishing Infinity Online Systems, one of Ontario’s first internet companies. At Infinity, Mark was responsible for developing a calling region in Southern Ontario larger than Sprint Canada and was subsequently acquired by PRIMUS Telecommunications in 2001.

Since his time with PRIMUS, Mark has assisted many companies with technology development and product launches — establishing programs and distribution networks worth over $100MM in sales revenue. For the 6 years prior to CannabCo, Mark worked as a senior executive in the Oil and Gas sector where he established relationships in numerous international markets including the US, South America, Dubai, South East Asia, and several European countries.

Mark’s is an accomplished public speaker and has taken the stage internationally on topics ranging from business development, to cannabis cultivation strategies and facility build outs. Mark was invited recently to participate on the Cannabis Advisory Council sponsored by the Colombian and Canadian Chamber of commerce alongside the Minister of Health In Bogota, Colombia. In addition Mark was a featured speaker at the ExpoCannabiz show in South America speaking on strategies for successful cultivation in Colombia.

Mark is an avid scuba diver, enjoys reading extensively, is a lover of nature and animals, and has a passion for teaching children martial arts. While friendly and approachable, Mark is known to have a knack for cutting to the core of an issue, establishing a directive, and executing management with precision accuracy.

About Mark Novak

Mark Novak is a seasoned professional with more than 25 years of diverse experience in both private and public sector companies. As one of the founders of Cannabco Pharmaceutical Corp. since its inception in 2013, he currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mark is responsible for executing Cannabco’s corporate strategy, directives, and initiatives on a global scale.

Mark’s exceptional expertise in areas such as operations, sales and marketing, IT infrastructure, technology deployment, and project management has been honed through his successful career in several start-ups and renowned fortune 500 companies like RIM and PRIMUS. His relentless attention to detail has served him well in achieving organizational goals and driving operational excellence.

Notably, Mark is the co-creator of Odourless Cannabis™, PureScent™, and The Phoenix Grow System, which are disruptive technologies in the cannabis industry. He has played an instrumental role in the development and deployment of these technologies, drawing on his hands-on experience in grow operations and cultivation strategies. Mark also serves as a key figure in Cannabco’s research and development team, collaborating with the company’s engineering and technology partners to drive innovation and growth.

About Phillip Chen

As a founder, and the Chief Business Development Officer at CannabCo, Phillip has over 30 years of international business development experience coupled with an extensive engineering background. Having lived and worked internationally, Phillip has a complete understanding of the challenges faced with global expansion and supply chain management. Prior to his experience with Cannabco, Phillip held executive management positions in the mining, oil & gas sector where he spearheaded international initiatives for products and services supply globally.

Phillip also maintains extensive experience in engineering, operations, quality assurance and production. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in chemical engineering and was the manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Honeywell Aerospace and manager of Materials & Processes Engineering at L3 Communications. As a department head, his team of engineers & technicians achieved a record 100% on-time delivery related to corporate initiatives. Responsible for engineering operations, lab management, and quality assurance testing in a fortune 500 environment Phillip has been molded perfectly for his role at CannabCo. He has an incredible eye for detail and the big picture when evaluating a project. His extensive experience serves CannabCo well with expansion projects abroad where he is constantly evaluating joint venture relationships and corporate expansion initiatives related to global production and logistics.

About Brenda Tatton

Brenda Tatton has over 35 years of experience in finance involving private and public companies across multiple business sectors. She brings a wealth of experience with her and currently serves as internal finance and interim CFO of CannabCo Pharmaceutical Corp. Brenda has been with the company from the beginning and joined CannabCo in 2013 at its inception. Brenda is responsible for numerous operations including financial reporting, corporate policies, financial governance, process optimization, and treasury.

Brenda works closely with CannabCo’s legal team and auditors to ensure daily operations meet current corporate governance and CannabCo’s audit procedures are in place for the public markets. Brenda’s vast knowledge and experience pertaining to key leadership roles revolving around business operations, finance, resources allocation and evaluation, and program management serve the company well in her current role. She is considered by her peers to be an incredibly hard worker, highly competent, approachable, and with an unwavering targeted approach to corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

About Brent Mersey

Brent Mersey holds numerous PhD’s and multiple degrees in the areas of Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Ecology, and Electron Microscopy.  Brent is currently the Chief Science Officer for CannabCo Pharmaceutical Corp., and along with the research and development team, provides key insight into the company’s scientific initiatives.

Brent is somewhat of a rarity in his role as he is not only a true academic, but has commercial applied science experience in his chosen areas of expertise.  Having studied and achieving accreditation at multiple institutions in the USA and Canada, and with degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Carlton University, and Mount Alliston University, Brent has achieved academic prominence in his fields of study.  Beyond his pure academia, Brent has completed extensive work in the areas of commercial crop science, genetics, and crop deployment during his career and has extensive experience in greenhouse work and organic growth techniques.  His career further extends to research projects with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and extensive work with plant light optics and electron microscopy.

Alongside his role with Cannabco, Brent currently facilitates a program and is responsible for teaching the curriculum for cultivating medical cannabis at the Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Science (AAPS) at multiple campuses in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

To add to Brent’s incredible academic achievements, he also holds a BEng degree from Carlton University.   His aptitude for engineering led to his design and installation of two electron microscopy labs at NRC and the University of Guelph.

Brent is considered kind, intelligent, and patient by his peers and his years of knowledge and experience are considered to be a great asset to the company.
